What Are the Most Important Tokens/Currency of the Game?

Wild Horse Islands features multiple currency types, each serving different purposes in the game’s economy.

Regular Tokens are the primary currency and the backbone of the game’s economy. Players use these to purchase horses from NPCs, buy materials and resources, craft lassos and equipment, breed horses (fees range from 150 to 15,000 tokens depending on rarity), and trade with other players.

Players can earn regular tokens through several methods: selling captured horses to Larry the NPC trader (horses typically sell for 100-500 tokens), selling gathered resources like ores and food, trading with other players through market stands, receiving 50 tokens every 40 minutes from the currency shop (increased with VIP membership), purchasing with Robux, or finding them in a Pot O’ Gold.

Event Tokens are temporary currencies available only during special events (Valentine’s, Halloween, Winter, etc.). These can only be used to purchase event-limited items and cannot buy regular in-game items. At the event’s end, leftover event tokens automatically convert to regular tokens at a 1:1 ratio, making them valuable even after the event concludes.

1. Wild Capturing with Strategic Lasso Use

The most common method involves exploring islands and capturing wild horses with lassos. Rarer breeds spawn less frequently and may require stronger lassos. Craft higher-tier lassos using better materials: copper lassos for beginners (made with tin ore), amethyst, ruby, emerald, topaz, and diamond lassos for increasingly rare horses, and prismatic and perfect lassos for the absolute rarest catches.

Pro tip: Herds occasionally spawn on islands, allowing you to capture 1-3 horses with a single lasso throw. Use prismatic lassos for herds rather than perfect lassos for better efficiency.
